Define

A noun is a word that means of a person place, animal, thing. A 'thing' may includes anything we can think of; any idea, state quality, action, feelings etc.

Example;
New Delhi is a big city.
The doctor examines the patients.



Kinds of Noun



Explanations;



Proper noun :-  it is the name of a particular person , place or thing as;
Hindustan times is the name of a particular newspaper

Common noun :- it refers to the name given in common to every person things or place of the same category as newspaper is a common noun in above the sentence.

Collective noun:- it refers to the name of a collection of personal things taken together and spoken of one whole.
Swarm of bees. 
Litter of puppies.

Abstract noun:- it refers to a quality, concept or state of a person, place or thing one cannot see or touch and abstract noun it can only be felt as honesty ,childhood intelligence ,freedom ,Discovery, laughter.
